Lucy Forbes is a lawyer with extensive experience in civil appellate law, having handled all aspects of an appeal.  She also provides motion practice and trial support to trial lawyers, including drafting post-verdict and post-judgment motions and jury charges.  She is board certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Before starting her own practice, she worked as a trial associate at Baker Botts, as a staff attorney at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, and as an appellate associate at Wright, Brown & Close.

Ms. Forbes graduated from Baylor Law School in 1998 in the top 9% of her class.  She was the Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review.  Ms. Forbes graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Houston, Main Campus.

• is admitted to practice in all Texas Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Court in the Southern District of Texas, and the United States District Court in the Northern District of Texas.

Ms. Forbes is an avid runner who has run 14 marathons, including marathons in Houston, Austin, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Long Beach, Phoenix, and New York.  Her personal record is 3:52:20, Houston 2011.  She also teaches power/advanced and beginner vinyasa yoga.
